Multi-reactor system

For the investigation of thermochemical reactions in liquid and gas phases under defined temperature and pressure conditions, a parallel multi-reactor system made of high-strength stainless steel is available at the Chair of Carbon Sources and Conversion. The setup consists of four independently operated stainless-steel reactor vessels (160 mL), each connected to a 175 mL stainless-steel burette used for gas feeding and control and designed to withstand demanding thermal and mechanical loads. Each reactor is equipped with a dedicated high-precision analog pressure transducer, allowing continuous, individual monitoring of the operating conditions. Liquid and gas feed lines with integrated valves and robust fittings enable safe and stable control of the reactant supply to each reactor. Agitation units in every vessel ensure efficient and homogeneous mixing of the reaction media. In the lower section of the setup, the electronic control units are housed, including a central process controller and dedicated modules for the thermal and operational control of each reactor. These components allow precise regulation of temperature, pressure, stirring speed, and reaction time, and enable automated procedures with high reproducibility.
