Project Overview

The Chair of Carbon Sources and Conversion is working on various projects, which are mainly financed by public funding programs, but also in cooperation with various industrial partners.

Current publicly funded research projects

• CO2BioFeed -  Keeping hydrocarbons in circulation
• ECO2Feed -  Upgrading CO₂-rich gas streams of biogenic origin into valuable substances for the chemical industry through seperation of harmful hydrogen sulphide
• ElektrALig -  New ways of electricity-based conversion of biogenic raw materials and electrochemical production of bio-based products
• GreenDrive - 
• InnoHLig - Conversion of industrial biomass residues into humic concentrates via oxidative functionalization techniques for sustainable soil improvement and carbon sequestration
• RekCarb/ RekCarb2 - Upgrading of carbon-containing residual materials and carbon-based by-products through recrystallization in molten metals
• SynGas2Ethene - Production of ethene from recycling streams and renewable carbon sources as a sustainable and economical route to basic building blocks for the chemical industry
